1 pack CHIEF Vermicelli

2 cups water

2 pieces cinnamon Sticks 1'' each

1/4 tsp salt

6 cups evaporated milk

1/4 cup sugar to taste

1/2 cup chopped blanched almonds

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup chopped cherries

1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)


  • In a heavy skillet, parch vermicelli until golden brown.
  • Bring water, cinnamon and salt to boil.
  • Add vermicelli and cook on low heat until most of the water has evaporated and vermicelli is tender.
  • Add milk, sugar to taste, almonds, raisins and cherries and cook for a minute or two.
